So first lets start with pearls that Debbie brought. So thinking "Girl With The Pearl Earring"?
Well clearly only three of us saw that while two others made pearl necklaces. I loved that Linda V used a pearl for the clasp in her wire creation.
Next we had the cloisonne beads Jane brought. A bird and a Dragonfly (which had me thinking of Games Of Thrones), were our selection. But only three of us could design using this challenge, and only Gwen was able incorporate the cloisonne with two blue beads form the rest of our collection.
Then there were the paintbox colored cut glass rondelle beads that I contributed. Looks like everyone had something to make from these. Gwen the overachiever was able to combine these beads with the pearls also her use of bead caps made wonderful earrings.
Next the vintage beads which were my favorite and were donated by Gwen, where again she was able to mix them with the glass rondelles.
Last but not least the fifth contribution was the frame. This really fit in well with the "Old Masters" theme and a big thank you to Linda V.
Four out of five of us took this challenge on. Jane and I used beads to paint the picture, resin another media was used, and lastly Gwen actually painted a picture with hers. She is a true Master in her own right.
For all of our struggles with this I think the outcomes were worth the fight! L
