October 2016 IBB Challenge

As usual our last bead challenge for 2016 with IBBC was hosted by Ann and Kim. Ann had her house decorated with all of her Halloween villages. She has added several new pieces this season and the detail was amazing. The food and presentation was outstanding, and as always our gift for conversation was never dull.

Our beads for this challenge from Deb and LaVonne were small periwinkle round 5mm beads. The challenge was the color since it was between a blue and a purple. Well I must say all came up with very pretty complimentary colors that left us cheering at the results. Take a look for yourself.
There were four bracelets, a macrame technique, bead stringing with a beaded bead, bead weaving, and one that was woven on a loom. Jane showed off her talent from our class, I was proud of her for using the new tools we had acquired. Two necklaces made the entry, and the techniques were both very different. I love how we all come up with different ways to make these beads rock!

As we hibernated for the winter our next challenge will have us using pewter beads which should make for very interested pieces. Below is a sample of what we received. You will see the finished product on April 27th when Jane and I host the next session. Stay warm and keep beading. L.
