Purple Eyed Beads

On Thursday August 25th, Debra and LaVonne hosted our purple bead challenge. I must start by saying that dinner was delicious. We started with apps and then had a choice of several cold salad plates. I had the broccoli salad, chicken salad, potato salad and quinoa salad topped by the best looking decorative fruit salad. All of this was completed with a tuxedo cake for dessert.

So now lets talk beads. We had the prettiest color schemes to go with our purple beads. Necklaces out numbered the bracelets. We had stringing, weaving and macrame techniques in the bracelets and they all looked lovely.  The necklaces were all different yet the colors complimented each other. One necklace was single strand, one was two strands, and two were three strands. Ann was the over achiever with two necklaces. Well done all.

We got sky blue round 4 mm beads for the next challenge scheduled for Oct. and I cannot wait to see these next creations. L.
