This July my husband and I went on a road trip to North Adams Massachusetts our hometown for a 100th birthday party for a dear friend. What a great celebration.
There was a local farmer's market and I went looking for nothing in particular. There were several local artists there that were sharing their wares. One artist I started chatting with was Janine Wells from Kered Designs. She started telling me a story of a friend whose mother had passed away and how as she was helping her friend clean up her mothers house she had found many treasures. One was a large box of sea glass. Janine's face light up as she relived the experience of first opening that box and seeing this treasure. I knew exactly what she was felling when she saw that glass, the same felling I get when I go to a bead show and see rows and rows of brilliant, shining beads every where you look.
I am not sure if I bought these earrings simply because I couldn't resist the beauty of the found treasure of sea glass or if I couldn't resist the story itself. Either way I love the elegance of the wire wrapping Janine did to make this found treasure something I can wear and share with you. L
